Balsam fir gum has antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties. Long used by Indigenous peoples, it is harvested in summer and encapsulated. Order by mail, or schedule an appointment for pickup.
For rest in nature and fun by the beach, Camping Mont Lac Étoilé offers family activities, boat rentals, paddleboarding, kayaking, pedal boats, rowboats, picnic areas and an unsupervised beach on Lac-Drolet.
Sentiers du Morne offers accessible family hikes totalling 4 km, with dogs welcome on leash. Three trails lead to an 820-metre summit and observation tower, while Pic and Grue offer a short forest loop.
