About the Summit

At 1,193 metres, Mont Gosford towers over southern Québec and has a rare subarctic climate. Located in ZEC Louise-Gosford, this vast 6,111 km² natural territory offers an exceptional, rugged hiking experience. Ranked as Québec’s 7th-highest summit, it offers spectacular views of Maine, New Hampshire and the border mountains from its observation tower. Extend the adventure with rustic shelters or camping platforms. Trails are accessible except during moose hunting season. Dogs are permitted and registration at the welcome centre is required. Good preparation is essential before setting out on the border trails. Membership helps support the organization and maintain these unique trails leading to the highest summits in southern Québec.
