The Granite Giant

Morne de Saint-Sébastien

About the Summit

Formed more than 350 million years ago, Morne de Saint-Sébastien is an imposing granite massif shaped by the region’s stone-quarrying history. Despite its 824-metre elevation, this summit is family-friendly, with three marked trails for different skill levels. The trail to lac Drolet, featuring interpretive panels on local flora, leads to a lookout that is perfect for a picnic. At the summit, an observation tower offers 360-degree views of lac Drolet, Lac-Mégantic, Saint-Sébastien, Lambton and even Mont-Ham in the distance. Extend your visit with a stop at Maison du Granit, a must-see interpretation centre for visitors of all ages.
